NOT! Pilates for men? Perish the thought or put your minds to ease and take a closer look at this venue for strengthening and de-stressing. Pilates conjures up men in tights, but quite the contraire. It was originally created by Joseph Pilates as a men’s movement. He was a German boxer who devised a workout using pulleys and strengthening the core in order to be able to take blows to the head. His effort at making this popular was disappointing to him. However, it is believed that the value of this discipline is under-rated. It can prevent injury while enjoying outdoor activities from golf to skiing and anything in between. It is catching on here in Chattanooga. So, come to see for yourself.
